The speech of Vice Dean for Environmental Affairs
Prof. Amal Mohammed Al-Qaddah
Vice Dean for Environmental Affairs and Community Service
The community service and environmental development sector is one of the most important sectors of the university, as it serves as a window and link between it and the external community and is interested in activating the university's role in monitoring and studying many community problems, contributing to solving development issues, and providing community services to the neediest groups. That helps to increase the satisfaction of community parties with the activities of the college and build bridges of cooperation with business organizations, civil society organizations (CSOs), and various institutions. It is also entrusted with contributing
to occupational safety and health, securing the work environment, and protecting material and human resources. The sector is also interested in maintaining the safety of the internal environment of the college, protecting it from pollution, rationalizing the use of resources, and activating crisis management within the college. The role of the sector also extends to include efforts to eradicate adult illiteracy in the university community and outside, in cooperation with the Adult Education Authority, by raising students' awareness of the project and urging them to participate in it, which ultimately leads to community development to be able to keep pace with progress and achieve the sustainable development goals of Egypt 2030.
