Study programs

The Faculty of kindergarten grants the following diplomas and degrees in Arabic :

1- Professional Diploma in pedagogy (kindergarten

To enroll a student in a professional diploma in education (kindergarten) (Arabic and foreign language), the following is required:

1. The Professional Diploma in education (kindergarten) is awarded to holders of a license's or Bachelor's degree in all disciplines except kindergarten from one of the Egyptian universities, Arab universities, private universities, or an equivalent degree from the Supreme Council of universities.

2. the student must pass the personal interview according to the following criteria: ( general appearance - speech and speech defects - professional abilities - general cultural level), based on the proposal of the college

3. to apply for the exam in any course, the student must meet the attendance rate of at least 75% of the total academic hours for each course (theoretical and applied hours).
4. The student studies 30 credit hours divided into 24 compulsory hours and 6 Optional

2. special diploma in education (kindergarten) specialty:

• The ordinary child (child mental health-measurement and evaluation-children's theater).
• Special Needs (design of kindergarten programs- parenting education - children's Museum)
• Child literature (modern technologies in the field of kindergarten-kindergarten administration-Child information)

It is required to enroll the student in the special diploma in education (kindergarten) (Arabic and foreign language) the following :

1. He must have passed the Professional Diploma in education (kindergarten) (Arabic and foreign language) or the practical diploma from one of the kindergarten faculties in Egyptian universities or the equivalent of kindergarten specialties from Arab universities .
2. All applicants from Arab universities and private universities are accepted to register for the special diploma in child rearing at the college.
3. The student must pass the personal interview according to the following criteria: (general appearance - speech and speech defects - professional abilities - general cultural level). , Based on the proposal of the College Board.
4. To apply for the exam in any course, the student must meet the attendance rate of at least 75% of the total academic hours for each course (theoretical and applied hours).
5. The student studies 30 credit hours divided into 12 compulsory hours and 18 specialization tracks.
6. The student must have obtained a special diploma in education (kindergarten) in one of the following sub-specialties:

•  The ordinary child (child mental health-measurement and evaluation-children's theater)
• Special needs ( design of kindergarten programs-parental education-children's Museum).
• Child literature (modern technologies in the field of kindergarten-kindergarten administration-Child information)

7. The student is awarded the special diploma in education (kindergarten) in one of the following estimates as in Table (4) Article

• Accepted : - " from 60 to less than 70 % "
• Good : - " from 70 to less than 80 % "
• Very good : - " from 80 to less than 90 %"
• Excellent:- more than 90%

3 . Master's degree in education (kindergarten) in :

•  Ordinary child (child mental health-measurement and evaluation- children's theater).
• Special needs(design of kindergarten programs-parenting education- children's Museum).
• Child literature (modern technologies in the field of kindergarten-kindergarten administration-Child information) .

The student is required to enroll for a master's degree in education (kindergarten) or in his distinguished specialties according to the college's specialties (Arabic and foreign language) as follows:

He must have a special diploma in education (kindergarten) or with its differentiated specialties according to the college's specialties (Arabic and foreign language) from one of the Egyptian universities or an equivalent degree from the Supreme Council of universities with at least a good degree.
3.  No more than three years have passed since he passed the special diploma in education (kindergarten) (Arabic and foreign language).
4.   The Faculty Council, based on the proposal of the competent department Council, the recommendation of the Graduate Studies and research committee, appoints a chief supervisor of the student from among the professors or assistant professors at the faculty. One of the teachers may participate in supervision. With the approval of the college council, those at their level of specialization from inside or outside the college may participate in supervision. In all cases, the number of Supervisors shall not exceed three.
5.  The supervision of the master's student may be joint between the members of the Supervisory Committee from Mansoura University and one of the universities or foreign institutes recognized by the Supreme Council of universities, without prejudice to Article (16) of the list .
6. In case one of the supervisors travels abroad, the Faculty Council has the right to add another supervisor to the supervisory committee, based on the proposal of the competent department Council and the approval of the Graduate Studies and Research Committee, based on the report submitted by the supervisor before allowing him to travel, supported by the opinion of the main supervisor.
7.  the supervisors of the thesis at the end of each semester submit a report to the competent department Council on the progress of the student in his
8. conditions for granting the degree that the Faculty Council, based on the recommendation of the competent department Council , the Graduate Studies and research committee, recommends granting a master's degree if the student meets the following conditions:

• At least one year has passed from the start of registration (approval of the University Council for registration).

• The student has passed the English language exam for the required TOEFL level from the University before submitting the thesis to the department Council, and the student may be exempted from this exam if he submits a statement that he passed within three years from the date of his registration for the master's degree.

• The student submits a letter containing the results of his research, which is accepted by the examination committee.

• The student submits to the competent department Council the acceptance of a research for publication of his thesis in a specialized and refereed indexed scientific journal issued by a scientific body on a regular basis.

The thesis shall be granted in one of the following grades as in Table (4) Article 12 :

ــ " Accepted" from 60 to less than 70%

– " Good " from 70 to less than 80 %

–" Very good " from 80 to less than 90% ـــ" Excellent " more than 90%.

9- The student is considered to have obtained the master's degree by completing 36 full credit hours, including 4 credit hours for the courses

.studied by the student.

10.   The student must have obtained a master's degree in education (kindergarten) in one of the following sub specialties:

• The ordinary child (child mental health-measurement and evaluation-children's theater).
• Special Needs (design of kindergarten programs- parenting education-  children's Museum).
• Child literature (modern technologies in the field of kindergarten-kindergarten administration-Child information).

• The student's withdrawal from the study based on the supervisors ' report or his lack of seriousness in the research, with the approval of the competent department Council and the Graduate Studies and Research Committee.

11. To cancel the registration, the college council must cancel the

student's registration for the master's degree in the following cases :

• The examination committee rejected the thesis and its recommendation not to award the degree.
• Not to grant the degree during the periods stipulated in Article (8) of the regulation, taking into account the cases of suspension of enrollment.

-The student applied to cancel his registration for the master's degree and the supervisors approved the cancellation.

-- Non -payment of the prescribed fees in accordance with the organizing rules .

4- Doctor of Philosophy Degree in education (kindergarten) in the specialty:

• Ordinary child (child mental health-measurement and evaluation-children's theater).
• Special needs (design of kindergarten programs-parenting education - children's Musem) .
• Child literature (modern technologies in the field of kindergarten-kindergarten administration-Child information).

It is required to enroll a doctoral student in education (kindergarten) or in his differentiated specialties according to the specialties of the faculty (Arabic and foreign language) as follows:

1. The general conditions set out in Article (3) of the
2. He must have a master's degree in education (kindergarten) with his distinct specialties according to the specialties of the faculty from one of the kindergarten colleges in Egyptian universities or any equivalent degree from the Supreme Council of
3. Propose and determine the field and plan of research through the rules governing registration in various departments and then submit to the Graduate Studies and Research Committee and then the college
4. Enrollment may be extended to a maximum of four semesters at the request of Supervisors and the approval of the relevant department Council, the Graduate Studies and Research Committee and the Faculty
5. The supervision of the PhD student may be joint between the members of the Supervisory Committee from Mansoura University and one of the foreign universities or institutes recognized by the Supreme Council of universities, without prejudice to Article (16) of the

The Council of the competent department may, at the request of the main supervisor, approve the modification of the research topic only once during the doctoral study, and this may be done with or without changing supervisors. The amendment is approved by the Graduate Studies and Research Committee and the Faculty Council. Such amendment shall not result in violation of the time limits stipulated in Article (8) of this regulation.
9. The college council cancels the student's registration for the PhD degree in the following cases:

• Discontinuation of studies or lack of seriousness in research, with the approval of the board of the relevant department and the Graduate Studies and Research Committee, and on the basis of a report from the supervisors.
• If the judging committee rejects the dissertation.
• If it is not granted within the period stipulated in Article (8) of the regulation.
• The student applied for the cancellation of his registration for the doctoral degree and the approval of the supervisors on this.
• Non-payment of the prescribed fees in accordance with the organizing rules.

10- Conditions for granting the degree that the Faculty Council, based on  the recommendation of the competent department Council and the Graduate Studies and research committee, recommends granting a doctoral degree if the student meets the following conditions:-

• passing at least four semesters from the start of registration (approval of the University Council for registration).
• The student passes the English language exam for the required TOEFL level from the University before submitting the letter to the department Council, and the student may be exempted from this exam if he submits a statement that he passed within four years from the date of his registration for the doctoral degree.

• The student submits a dissertation with the results of the research so that it represents a new addition in the branches of specialization, taking into account the time periods stipulated in Article (8) of this regulation.
• The examination committee accepts the dissertation and recommends awarding the degree.

• The dissertation shall be granted in one of the following grades as in - Table (4) Article 12 :
• Accepted " from 60 to less than 70%"
• Good " from 70 to less than 80%"
• Very good " from 80 to less than 90%"
• Excellent " more than 90%"

11. The student submits the acceptance of two researches for publication of the scientific results reached by the dissertation in refereed and indexed scientific journals. One of them should be in a scientific journal that has an impact Factor, before submitting the letter to the competent department Council.

12 . The student must have a doctor of Philosophy Degree in education (kindergarten) in one of the following sub-specialties:

• Ordinary child (child mental health-measurement and evaluation- children's theater).
• Special needs(design of kindergarten programs-parenting education - children's Museum).
• Child literature (modern technologies in the field of kindergarten-kindergarten administration-Child information).
