Preparing Vocational Rehabilitation Teachers for Children with Special Needs

 » Program objectives:

    • Developing and enhancing teaching and learning.

    • Preparing a teacher who understands the inputs and outputs of the education system for people with special needs, by understanding the philosophy, objectives and social dimensions of this education in order to prepare her for the roles she will play.

    • The program is considered one of the unique programs locally and regionally, as there are no programs specialized in preparing vocational qualification teachers for children with special needs locally or regionally, except for a very limited number.
    • The study within the program is compatible with the needs of the labor market, as vocational qualification institutions have increased in Dakahlia Governorate.
    • The program provides field training opportunities for these female students in these institutions.
    • Efficiency of faculty members teaching within the program.
    • Providing a distinctive educational environment in terms of lecture rooms, laboratories, and faculty members, where the study takes place in well-equipped rooms with a small number of students, which allows for easy achievement.
    • The program depends on studying with the credit hours system according to the latest educational systems, which allows for great flexibility in studying the courses.
    • The academic year is divided into two semesters in addition to an optional summer semester.
    • Distinctive units and research labs that serve the program (aesthetic skills lab-puppet theatre lab- Music Lab - Psychology Lab- Computer Lab - Braille Lab) These labs are based on serving the educational process in the program through the implementation of practical lessons for the courses of the program, and the graduation project is implemented as a fourth-level course in these laboratories. They raise the efficiency of the program graduate, and help her understand modern technologies in the fields of specialization in a way that suits the labor market.
