Pillars of the research plan of the Department of the Foundations of Child Education

The Department of the Foundations of Child Education forms a distinguished team in studying education and development issues, and determines for itself a continuous research system according to urgent priorities imposed by urgent societal changes, and the research priorities in the department are in light of national projects, the university's research plan, and internal and external sources of funding.

  • The research plan of the department has taken from the mission of the college, and its objectives as a starting point, as it was inspired by the points it contains related to preparing

graduates capable of competing in the scientific field, meeting the needs of the labor market, emphasizing excellence in scientific research in accordance with international standards, providing scientific expertise to various institutions, and commitment to publishing and exchanging information with others, and excellence in teaching, education and scientific research, as follows:

Objectives of the research plan of the department

  • Selecting research areas of strength and importance and arranging them according to priorities to achieve uniqueness and excellence in scientific research.
  • Designing future research plans according to systematic scenarios to address urgent issues in which educational and developmental interests intersect.
  • Recording education and development issues locally, regionally and globally, inducing their causes and effects and proposing appropriate solutions and mechanisms.
  • Exploring community participation mechanisms on part of institutions, associations, bodies and businessmen, each according to his interests, to serve scientific research in dealing with education and development issues.
  • Developing human capitalism to serve education and development issues.
  • Maximizing the benefit of local and foreign expertise in addressing common education and development issues.
  • Providing officials and specialists with the real educational reasons behind the exacerbation of development problems.
  • Upgrading the level of scientific research for faculty members and their assistants.
  • Encouraging students to apply scientific research in the field of child education.
  • Conducting research that contributes to the development of child rearing.
  • Paying attention to the problems of ordinary children and children with special needs, and finding solutions for them.

Mechanisms for implementing the research plan of the department

  • Benefiting from the global, regional and local educational heritage in serving and addressing education and local development issues. 
  • Making use of Arab and foreign scientific studies, expertise and experiences in addressing the corresponding issues and problems in the local community. 
  • The scientific presentation in accordance with the codified scientific rules for all educational and developmental issues and problems raised in the local arena . 
  • objective scientific analysis of all the available literature on the issue or problem under consideration, to understand the underlying relationships, and to identify aspects of agreement and disagreement.
  • Seeking different methodological paths that suite the nature of educational and developmental issues and problems raised for research. 
  • Determining future scenarios to address the educational and developmental issues and problems raised for research and study according to the nature of each topic. 
  • Ensuring accuracy and scientific honesty in sequencing and presenting ideas and results.

 

Scientific departments responsible for implementation

  • The responsibility for implementing the department's research plan rests with the Department of Child Education Fundamentals in the college, and other scientific departments in the college (curricula and methods of child education _ child psychology _ basic sciences for children) can cooperate in conducting research of a common nature in different disciplines.
  • period for implementing the college's research plan extends for a period of five years, from 2021 to 2026, provided that it takes into account the changes that occur in the various fields of child education annually, according to the requirements of time.

  • Philosophical aspects of education: such as (the philosophy of child rearing and its relationship to the goals of society, child-rearing theories, educational policies for kindergartens, general educational goals, child culture, globalization and child-rearing, philosophical and educational values, educational tolerance, raising good example, theories and standards of ethics in child- rearing The philosophy of educational play, aesthetic education, environmental education, the philosophy of educational research, research methods, educational standards,. ).
  • The economics of education: such as the economic return of human and material education, the study of financing institutions for raising children and their problems, the study of the internal and external efficiency of education and institutions, and the finance planning for education in the light of the needs of the labor market, the workforce, the educational loss, and economic values).
  • Educational management: such as (managing kindergarten institutions, studying the processes of organizing, coordinating and controlling child-rearing institutions, studying the best and most recent methods of management and organization, educational planning, educational strategies, technical supervision, educational guidance, and administrative problems in kindergarten.
  • Education systems and comparative education: such as (studying formal and informal child-rearing systems, comparing education systems in one country over several stages of time, studying the education system in the mother country and comparing it with its organizations in other countries, to study the possibility of its application in the mother country, ). 
  • Preparing and training the teacher: such as (kindergarten teacher preparation programs, in-service training, the factors responsible for the presence of a good and competent teacher, the characteristics of the future teacher, the development of teacher performance, problems of professional and academic growth, sustainable professional development  
  • History of education: such as (the history of child rearing, the history of education, the flags of child rearing, and child rearing in the ancient, middle and contemporary times.)... , 
  • Education Sociology: Such as (the educational integration of the child, community participation in the child education, the upbringing of the child and community problems, the upbringing of the child and contemporary issues, gifted children education, disabled children education, the daily problems of children, the child's moral problems, parental education and family education, the educational dimensions of the rights of the child, and social education Nationalism, population, health, social upbringing, social values, methods of education, religious education of the child, aesthetic education of the child, the relationship of the kindergarten institution with the social environment (community participation), the educational influence of the media, international education, political education, environmental education.
