Study System - English Program

Program of Preparing Kindergarten Teachers in English

 

The study system in the program of preparing kindergarten teachers in English:

  • The system of study followed in the college is the system of credit hours within the framework of one academic semester.

 

Study period:

  • The period of study for obtaining a bachelor's degree is four academic years, and this period achieves four levels of study. Each level includes two semesters separated by a mid-year vacation. The student is not allowed to graduate unless he fulfills the graduation requirements.

 

Graduation requirements for a bachelor's degree:

Graduation requirements for obtaining a bachelor's degree in kindergarten are (135) credit hours distributed according to the following:

  • University requirements: They include the free cultural component, which is 6%, with 8 credit hours.
  • College requirements: include field training in kindergartens, with percentage of (6%), with 8 credit hours (field training in the third and fourth levels,) according to the field training regulation.
  • Specialization requirements: Students undertake scientific trips to places closely related to the study, in order to scientifically link between study and application under the supervision of the faculty members and their assistants.
  • Graduation project at the fourth level: The student prepares a graduation project at the fourth level, for which (1) credit hour is allocated each semester under the supervision of faculty members in one of the scientific departments of the college and in a balanced manner between the scientific departments of the college..

 

Specifications of the Program graduate:

  • Preparing the kindergarten teacher in a way that makes her able to perform her various roles within the community.
  • She is armed with a set of knowledge and skills that help her deal with the child.
  • She is characterized by the integration of preparation, and the balance between theoretical and professional knowledge.
  • Developing different forms of thinking (scientific, critical, and creative thinking).
  • Developing self- and continuous learning skills.
  • Able to deal with the family of the child.
  • Actively participates in activities that seek to develop the kindergarten and serve the local community within the framework of quality standards.
  • Deals appropriately with the kindergarten child in order to achieve his comprehensive and integrated development.
  • Instills moral principles and values in the child.
  • Discovers the child's talents and ways of developing them.
  • Identifies the child's problems, their causes, and how to deal with them.
  • Understands different foreign texts heard and read.
  • Employs linguistic and literary concepts and knowledge when receiving texts, interpreting them, analyzing them, and producing them in different situations.
  • Reads the text aloud suggestively.
  • Communicates in different language situations.
  • Appreciates language functions and sociolinguistics.
