Faculty of Early Childhood Education Organizes a Joint Educational Seminar with Egyptian-Japanese Schools to Enhance the Exchange of Expertise
As part of Mansoura University's strategy to enhance the quality of the educational process and embrace leading international educational models, and in line with the state's directives to develop the pre-university education system, the Faculty of Early Childhood Education organized a distinguished educational seminar with the active participation of Egyptian-Japanese schools.
The seminar was held under the auspices of Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, and Dr. Tarek Ghaloush, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research and Supervisor of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, and was chaired by Dr. Sahar Tawfik Nassim, Dean of the Faculty of Early Childhood Education and Head of the Social Services Team in the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the university.
The seminar was organized within the framework of the Faculty's commitment to strengthening effective educational partnerships and integrating efforts between academic and educational institutions, contributing to the transfer and application of the latest educational practices, particularly those related to Japanese educational experiences, developing active learning skills, and building the child's character in a holistic manner. The seminar addressed several important educational topics, witnessing fruitful interaction and a constructive exchange of ideas and experiences regarding the latest educational methods, particularly the philosophy of Japanese education, the "Tokkatsu" activities and their role in developing life skills, promoting values of discipline and teamwork, and building the child's character.
In the context of practical application, the meeting included a series of outstanding applied activities with the participation of college students and children from the Egyptian-Japanese Schools – Mit Ghamr branch. These activities reflected an advanced level of interaction and contributed to translating modern educational concepts into real-world teaching practices, thus supporting the preparation of college students as teachers capable of meeting the demands of the job market.
The seminar was attended by Japanese expert Ms. Kayoko Ogawa, supervisor of the Egyptian-Japanese Schools, along with a group of distinguished guests and specialists in the field of education, underscoring the importance of this collaboration that combines international expertise with local application.
The seminar was also attended by academic leaders. Representing the college were Dr. Fayza Ahmed Abdel-Razek, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Samah Ramadan Khamis, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Dr. Fatima Shehata, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research. The event was organized by Dr. Radwan Radwan Zaham, Director of the English-Language Kindergarten Teacher Training Program at the college.
Also present from the Egyptian-Japanese Schools were: Dr. Yasser Mosaad Ahmed, Head of the Delta Sector at the Egyptian-Japanese Schools Unit; Ms. Samar Mustafa Taha, Head of the Egyptian-Japanese Schools in Dakahlia; Dr. Mohamed Ahmed El-Awady, Director of the Egyptian-Japanese Schools in Mit Ghamr; and Mr. Mohamed Mohamed Youssef, Deputy Director of the Egyptian-Japanese Schools in Mit Ghamr.
Dr. Khaled Hosny Akl, Director of the College's Public Service Center, and Dr. Amira Sabry Abdel-Rahman, Director of the Integrated Activities Teacher Training Program using the Montessori System, also participated in organizing the event. This event reaffirms the commitment of the Faculty of Early Childhood Education at Mansoura University to its leading role in developing the educational process, strengthening the link between the academic and practical aspects, and embracing international expertise, thus contributing to the preparation of qualified educational professionals capable of meeting the demands of the modern era.
